What's the greenest way to watch TV?

You've got your favorite shows, and you may have your eye on the latest flat-screen TV, but when making entertainment decisions, have you ever considered which is the most energy-efficient delivery method for getting those shows to your TV?  Brian Palmer at Slate.com did, and runs through the considerations when comparing the satellite, cable and internet options in his article, Green Screen:

I just moved into a new apartment, and I can’t decide how to get my television fix. Would it be better for the environment if I watched via cable, satellite, or streaming over the Internet?

The choices are numerous. One possibility that is not discussed in the article, though, is unplugging it all.
