After being temporarily shuttered last year because of a mold problem, the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House is
reopening its doors to guests this week. The $250,000 cost of the work was covered by grants and private donations. The facility will be back to full operations by the end of this week.
The 26 rooms usually stay full, Kaylor said, with about 600 families
staying there every year. Most of the families have babies in the
neonatal intensive care unit, she said.
