The weather was a bit wet and gray, but the turnout was robust for the first Main Street Farmers Market at their new location (at 325 East Main Street, just across the road from the Discoteca Demolition Project).

Mission of Main St Farmers Market
The Main Street Farmers Market mission is to provide regional, small-family farmers with an opportunity to sell directly to consumers, thereby supporting local farmers, offering consumers high quality products, and educating the community about the production, preparation and growing practices of food that is both nutritional and healthy.
Statement of Purpose
Main Street Farmers Market (MSFM) is a producers-only market. It was founded to provide a viable marketing outlet for local farms and food producers and bring locally grown products to Chattanooga area consumers. The MSFM is a farmer-run market, and supports local farmers by providing a direct market for their products in an atmosphere conducive to producer / consumer interaction. It also provides education on how healthy food is produced, prepared and grown.
Dates and Hours of Operation
Main St Farmers Market operates every Wednesday, year around.
Hours of operation are 4:00 to 6:00 PM
Winter hours are 4:00 to 5:00 PM
