September Home Sales Are Up in Tennessee and Georgia!
The numbers are in! These are the latest results from the Southeast Residential Real Estate Poll, conducted October 1-10, 2012. The poll shows home sales activity in September 2012 and includes responses from 58 Residential Brokers and 28 Home Builders. Even with its ups and downs, September ended on an upward note and was much, much stronger than sales in the past two years!
The majority of Southeast brokers and home builders reported that home prices increased on a year-over-year basis. The number of homes that reported prices "slightly higher" than a year ago were up by 80% in Georgia and 58% in Tennessee. 33% of Southeast Residential Brokers reported sales were up "significantly" and another 42% saw "slight" improvement. This is great news for sellers hoping for results!
